Using the Principles and best practices of UI Design, such as visual hierarchy, contrast, alignment, typography, color theory. and peer feedback helped to improve the designs and ensure usability and functionality.
From mockups/comps to interactive prototypes, the elements and principles of designs are being applied, adding in some of the functionality.
That’s what a prototype is for, to make a quick simulation of the real website or app saving time and energy in coding it. This way you can test the website with potential users, verifying the interactive function to be able to navigate through the site and interact with key UI components to complete the intended flow through the site.
